Why do the nations rage, and the peoples plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth take a stand, and the rulers take counsel together, against Yahweh, and against his Anointed, saying, “Let’s break their bonds apart, and cast their cords from us.”

Nations grow further and further apart from the ways of God. The chasm between God and lawlessness grows wider with each passing day. Governments make decisions that are, frankly, anti-God! In our own country we codify rights to destroy life and even worse our leaders pass legislation to stifle our faith, if that is possible. Too few of us shout down the injustice of it.

Rulers of all nations enter into alliances every day. Treaties and agreements are arranged in secret away from public scrutiny. They are not secrets kept from God. Nations, Gentile and Jew, plot to separate themselves from “the Lord and His Anointed.” More seriously, rulers of nations strive to separate Believers from their brothers.

This is cause to pray to our Father that He will change the minds of those we have chosen to lead us. Today is a good day to pray to our Father that He will bestow on them “heavenly wisdom.”
