Day and Night I’ll Seek Your Face

Psalm 1:1-2 reminds us that a blessed life isn’t built on circumstance, but on direction — on who we walk with, who we listen to, and where we choose to plant our roots. The world is loud, full of voices that promise much and deliver little, but the one who delights in the Lord’s Word finds a different kind of strength. A quiet strength. A rooted strength. This poem is simply a reflection of that truth: that blessing grows where obedience lives, and joy rises where the heart stays close to God. Day and night, His Word becomes our anchor, our compass, and our peace.

Blessed is the one who walks with You,
 not turning to another voice,
leaving all the noise behind—
in Your wisdom, I rejoice.
I won’t stand where shadows call
or sit where hearts grow cold.
I will follow in Your ways;
I will trust what You have told.

Day and night,
I’ll seek Your face.
In Your Word,
I find my place.
You’re the fountain, never dry—
the reason I’m alive.
I don’t need another way;
I only want You to stay.
In Your presence, I am blessed;
You are all my righteousness.

I am in this world, but not of it;
You have set my heart apart.
When the current pulls on me,
You are steady, You are strong.
There is nothing it can give
that could ever satisfy.
So I turn again to You—
You alone will be my guide.

Let my life become a light,
shining out for all to see—
 not by walking in the dark,
but by what You’ve done in me.
I will go where lost ones are
with a love that’s deep and true,
but I won’t be shaped by sin;
I’ll be formed and led by You.

There is joy that will remain
when the storm is closing in.
There is peace that holds me fast
when the battle starts within.
In Your Word I find my rest;
 in Your Spirit, I am free.
 Every hour belongs to You—
You are everything to me.

Day and night,
I’ll seek Your face.
In Your Word,
I find my place.
You’re the fountain, never dry—
the reason I’m alive.
I don’t need another way;
I only want You to stay.
In Your presence, I am blessed;
You are all my righteousness.

Write it on my heart again;
let it burn in me within.
In the night and in the day,
I will never walk away.
Be a blessing today,
be a blessing today.
By Your love and by Your truth,
let me walk in what You say.
