Heaven Sees and Heaven Knows

Psalm 2:1–6 reminds us that the world’s noise is not the world’s power. Nations rise, rulers boast, and people chase their own kingdoms, but heaven is not shaken. God sees every plan, every prideful stand, every attempt to cast off His truth — and none of it overturns His reign. This poem is a declaration of that certainty. It lifts our eyes above the chaos and reminds us that Christ is already enthroned, already reigning, already victorious. And while the world resists Him, grace still calls. Mercy still burns. There is still time to turn, still time to speak hope, still time to live as people who know that the King in Zion will reign forever.

Why do the nations rise in noise,
chasing after fleeting thrones—
plotting plans that fall apart,
building kingdoms of their own?
Kings and rulers take their stand,
drawing lines against Your name,
but every word and hidden scheme
falls before Your holy reign.

“They will break these sacred ties;
they will cast Your truth aside.”
But heaven sees and heaven knows—
there is nowhere we can hide.
You are seated far above
every power, every plan;
what we thought we held in strength
is dust within Your sovereign hand.

Open eyes to who You are;
lift our hearts to see Your throne.
Jesus reigning, crowned in light,
every kingdom overthrown.
Let us not be led by pride,
thinking we are in control.
We will bow before the King—
You are Lord of every soul.

There is still a call of grace;
there is still a path to turn.
Let us speak with truth and love
while the lamp of mercy burns.
For the day is drawing near
when Your voice will end the fight.
So we stand and share Your hope
while there’s still the gift of light.

You have set Your King in Zion,
high above it all You reign.
No power stands against Your glory;
no kingdom will remain.
Jesus, You are Lord forever—
we will lift Your holy name.
You have set Your King in Zion;
You will reign,
You will reign.

You are reigning—we believe it.
You are reigning—we declare.
Over every hidden darkness,
over every secret snare.
Let our lives reflect Your kingdom;
let our hearts be Yours today.
Be a blessing to our Father
as we walk in all Your ways.
In our words and in our lives,
let Your kingdom be displayed.
