Morning by Morning

Psalm 5:1–3 —  begins with a simple truth: prayer is not a performance; it is presence. “Morning by morning” is the rhythm of a soul learning to trust again — not in its own strength, but in the constancy of God’s listening. David’s words remind us that faith is not sustained by grand gestures, but by daily turning. The believer who rises each morning to speak with God is not chasing perfection; he is practicing relationship. There will be days when the words come easily, and days when they do not. Yet the act of calling — of lifting the heart toward heaven — is itself worship. In the silence, God still hears. In the weariness, He still answers. To pray “morning by morning” is to live in expectancy: that mercy will meet us again, that grace will be enough for this day, and that the One who knows and loves will remain faithful through every dawn.

Give ear to my words, O Lord,
hear the cry that rises now.
Every sigh, every hidden thought
You already know somehow.

You are King, there is no other,
none beside You, none above.
So I bring my heart before You,
to the One who knows and loves.

Morning by morning, I will call,
lifting my voice to You.
Morning by morning, I will stand,
trusting in all You do.

When I have no words to offer,
still my spirit speaks Your name.
Holy whisper, deep within,
lifts my prayer into Your flame.

You are near, You always hear,
every burden, every plea.
In the silence, in the shouting,
You are listening to me.

You have claimed my heart as Yours,
drawn me close, made me believe.
Not a distant, silent God,
but a love that will not leave.

Morning by morning, I will rise,
to seek You in the light.
Each breath becomes its own amen,
 each dawn renews my sight.
